We have had an amazing time with Chester and Betsy Kylstra as they ministered to a gathering in the south in November. We are seeing a growing relationship between our ministry and Restoring the Foundations. Betsy had a vision of gold oil over the south of England, bringing healing. As a result she asked if we would host an event in the south as a way of sowing into that vision. This was a great example of working into a word with both faith and action and we co-hosted an event with Peter and Mariette Stott and Peter and Caroline Anderson to present and promote RTF in our region.
We both believe that this RTF ministry is one of the most significant ministries for healing and then equipping the saints, as it is a prophetic, healing prayer ministry which addresses key issues hindering us from moving into God’s fullness. You can find out more on their website: www.healinghouse.org
John has now been to their International Training Centre in North Carolina and is trained to the first level of ministry and Christine is going out in January. We are using the teachings in our home meetings and hope to see many people in the south trained and released to move out in this ministry.
Peter and Caroline Anderson are the UK and European Directors of RTF and we will be liasing with them to find ways of developing this ministry through our own contacts and spheres of influence.
We are also delighted to see a growing relationship with Leicester Christian Fellowship and will be joining them in January for a meeting with Paul Manwaring of Bethel church in Redding, California to look at ways of networking leaders and ministries in the UK with the outstanding work coming out of Bethel church.
Christine ministered in November with Nick Pengelly as part of a Catch the Fire Prophetic School and they came up with an interesting workshop activity by looking at newspapers and hearing what God’s views were. As a result there was some powerful prayer into issues which were raised including the challenge that, as Christians, we cannot allow our minds to be influenced by the world, but must take responsibility for hearing God’s heart and mind on the issues of this world, not being passive or detached. It was one of the most powerful workshop sessions Christine has ever experienced.
Our ministry is part of Links International and we are challenged to pray for Rich Hubbard who is facing a major health challenge right now. We stand with him and the family in prayer that the Lord will bring victory.
Our heart for missions is part of the reason for partnering with Links and this summer Christine will be travelling with Hermie Santos to the Philippines to minister across a number of churches there. Hermie led two churches there before being sent by the Lord to the UK. We are excited for this trip as it will re-establish her connections and we look to serve her in blessing the people she is passionate about.
John is talking with Dan Slade about having a ministry focus in the Ukraine. Dan has taken over the Partners in Harvest network and we look forward to discussing the possibilities of ministering there. John had an amazing time when he went out as part of Dan’s team and has given part of his heart to Ukraine. Please pray for the right doors to open as there are many challenges facing this country, including the position of Russia towards Ukraine.
Christine is now on the committee for Street Pastors in Southampton, which is an answer to our prayers that we could sow into the work of the church in our home city. The work of Street Pastors represents the co-working of churches in the city and, as such, has a special meaning for us. At the moment this does take some commitment as they are setting up as a separate charitable institution and also recruiting and training the next round of street pastors. Christine will be part of the recruitment panel and is also on the training committee to set up a clear and comprehensive programme of training for the new and existing street pastors. Find out more about Street Pastors through
www.streetpastors.co.ukWe are blessed by the support of our friends and partners and believe that 2010 will be a significant year of change with many key connectors making new connections to establish a greater relational and communication network for the church in the UK and beyond.
As part of this Tim Eldridge with our friends David and Sarah Cooke are establishing a new arm of ministry called Kingdom Connections and you can find out more on their website: www.kingdomconnections.org.uk
We are pleased to be connected with them also!
Blessings and fruitfulness to you in 2010.
